About Project

As part of our 3rd year Group Project Course, I and four others were tasked with creating a 3d, multiplayer game for any platform, combining our Developing and Artistry skills to create it. We settled on a game for both PC and console usage, involving vehicular-like toys in a four-way battle royale.

This game, which we called 'ToyBreakers', involves up to four players, AI or otherwise, to compete in a battle-royale agaisnt one another, using their selected toys and the scattered power-ups to try and defeat the other players. There are four main types of game modes: 'Kill Count', involving players getting the highest amount of kills, 'Time Limit', where players have to get the most kills in a set time, 'Life Count', where players have to reduce the lives of the other players to zero, and 'Chaos Mode', where the power-ups all become random.

As one of the developers, I was charged with helping bringing the game to life utilizing C# coding and 3d art models and UI elements made by the game artists. Part of my involvment included some of the game controller components, loading the game, power up utility, setting the game time, opponent number and player lives in the game settings, putting together the victory screen to show who played and won the match, and the character selection section where players chose their toys.
